In December of '08 we will celebrate our 13th anniversary!

Come in early everyday during the week to get the latest low-down on the sporting scene.  If 'people-watching' is your thing, this is the place to be.  Read the paper, meet with friends and/or clients, or just plain chill out.  Come on in, sit down, and enjoy yourself.

We are enjoying meeting all of our friends who come down for the summer just to relax. We realize that everyone has their reasons for vacationing down here... and from those of us who live here year-round, we hope that we can make your experience here at The Bagel Factory as fun as possible. From June through October it is Hurricane Season.  Rest assured, we are as prepared as can be.  We have our generator set up and the place is wired to keep the refrigeration cold and the oven and kettle running hot!  (Our oven and kettle each run off of propane, but we still need electricity).

To our Winter Residents who are traveling up North for the Summer....  we look for you to return safely.

These days we are busy supporting various Walks. Runs and other events.  Almost all of our support goes in the form of product donation. We also supply many of our local High Schools with bagels for their 'class activities' as well as 'sports projects'.   And for those of you who are curious as to the 'left-over' bagels at the days end, we have various after-school care, soup kitchens and ministries which pick up from us daily.  Shortly all of our local schools start up again for the 2008-2009 academic year.  We look forward to working with many of the schools through each of our two locations.

Gift Cards?!  We have the latest and the neatest!  These are your re-loadable, credit card type gift cards which can be used at either location.  Think about it.....  great for students to insure that a healthy breakfast and lunch are always available!

The Bagel Factory of Cape Coral OPENED UP on Feb. 28th, 2008!!

Mark + Tara are excited to announce that brother David and his wife Norma have opened up their own Bagel Factory of Cape Coral.  David has retired from 24+ yrs. in the US Coast Guard.  Both David and Norma were stationed at Coast Guard Station Ft. Myers Beach back when The Bagel Factory opened in '95.  Their store is located in the Entrada Plaza, North on the Del Prado Extension.  It has the same hours, same great bagels, spreads and coffee.

Call them:  543-2075

Our employees remain:  THE BEST!  During the week we have Pat + Bev who open up in the morning.  Annie is there as always to keep the ball rolling!  Joan + Alice keep us out of trouble as they commute from Del Tura.  Elizabet + Ana have been with us for 18 months, and they are as pleasant and hard working as can be!    Louis is our 'swing man' as he works with the bakers and out front.  He always has a smile on his face.  This guy has done many things, and he is a real asset!

Of course none of this could happen without Marcelo and those who bake with him.  Chris and Adiel are there at 0300 to 'bake the bagels' with Marcelo 7 days/week.  We have the best bagels, and these fellows know it!

On the weekends, we have the best of the best when it comes to our younger help.  Leo attends S. Ft. Myers High.  Brianne is a life-saver from Ft. Myers High.  Elisabeth is amazing, a Cypress Lake HS student.  Together, we form an awesome TEAM.

Since the Spring, we have had Caitlyn on our staff!  We cannot say enough good things about her!  We only wish that she had joined us much earlier.  This Fall she leaves for college in Central Florida, and we will miss her!

Newest members of our Team include Billy, a home-schooled student who is most helpful.  George also works on the weekends and occasionally closes.  He is a student at Mariner HS and is an active member with the Cape Coral Police Explorer's Organization.  Jackie just joined us, and she works around 30 hrs/week.  This lady is a real treasure, and she makes things happen.

We continue to have the best staff around!  What a pleasure to have all of these people on our TEAM!

Note:  Our oldest daughter, 1LT Christine Lukasik returns from Afghanistan SOON!  Christie is assigned to the 1st Air Commando Wing

Let us all keep our US Servicemen and Women in our prayers.  They are the heroes of today.  They are all volunteers!

David and Mark completed their USA4corners motorcycle trip in August.  We rode 10,231 miles in 13 days!  We checked in at Key West, Madawaska, ME, Blaine, WA and San Ysidro, CA!  Check out the site:  www.usa4corners.org
